  FAX-PAX released a whole series of collectable cards during the late 80's to the early 90's in the UK . Sets not only included sports but also historical and heritage sets, each set had between 30 and 50 larger size cards. These are slightly larger than the normal trading card size and have rounded corners, on the reverse there are great descriptions of the players career. The 2 main football sets released were "Football Stars" & "Football Greats" both released in 1989.
