Standard cigarette sized trading card produced by Geo Bassett & Co Ltd from Sheffield England. These cards were given away in candy cigarette boxes and were a firm favourite through the 1970's. This series produced to commemorate the 1974 Fifa World Cup which was held and won by which was then known as West Germany. This was the second win in this world famous competition for the host team winning 2-1 against the Netherlands. The cards show some of the stars of the tournament with a focus on Scottish players, the reverse of the cards give a small amount of detail for each player.
