This Australian based series was produced to celebrate the 1996 Cricket World Series as well as the Mercantile Mutual Cup and Sheffield Shield. The base set entitled World Cup Magic consisted of cards frpm 1-48, cards 49-72 featured the stars of the Mercantile Mutual Cup, Cards 73-98 featured the very best of the Sheffield Shield. Other sub-sets included "World Cup Warriors", Australian World Cup Retrospective", "Tribute Cards" and "World Cup Premier Batsman - Mark Waugh".
